Trichloroacetaldehyde is an organic compound with the chemical formula of C₂HCl₃O. It is a colorless oily liquid. It is miscible in water, ethanol, ether and chloroform. It is mainly used in the manufacture of pesticides dichlorvos, trichlorfon, herbicides, dyes and pharmaceutical intermediates.
